About Me

Hello! This is my 8th year teaching; three years as a first grade teacher, four years as a fourth grade teacher, and my first year in third grade. Teaching has been rewarding, fun, and very challenging.  Not every day is easy in the classroom.  Each day is totally different than the day before.  There is little room for monotony; unless I count the days (weeks) we spend getting ready for the Texas standardized testing, STAAR. 

Outside the classroom I love to read both fiction and nonfiction books.  I could simply go to the local bookstore or public library and lose track of time.  Also, I enjoy surfing the internet and reading information on the various web sites that exist.  The information could be related to health, education, news, or financial (just to name a few). 

I am fairly new to blogging so I am learning as I go along. I hope you enjoy reading my blog!
